BEGINNING GUITAR (Grades 6-12)
The Guitar Class is structured to ensure proficiency in a variety of basic Guitar skills. The student will learn to read music in the First/Open position; form principle chords in the keys of C/Am, G/Em, D, A, E; form various Dominant 7th chords; movable chord forms; Diatonic chords in the keys of C and G; the Blues chord cycle, strumming patterns, the principle of Sharps and Flats; the C major scale in Open position; Chromatic scale; and the organization of the fretboard. These skills will be developed through the application of both Classical and Pick technique. |
WEDNESDAY ZOOM CLASSAll of our guitar students will have a required Wednesday Zoom Cohort Community Class from 11:00a-12:00p. This class will include group instruction and small group interaction. You won't want to miss our Cohort Community Time!!!!!!
